Event Summary

Brighton is suffering from poor air quality, with air pollution levels - specifically Nitrogen Dioxide (NO2) - continuing to exceed EU and English standards for a number of roads in Brighton. It is a major public health emergency.

Argyll Environmental has partnered with the Brighton Peace and Environment Centre to host a public event to raise awareness of air pollution in the city, its sources and potential strategies to reduce it.

Speakers include Green MEP for South East Region Keith Taylor MEP, Alan Andrews from Client Earth, Paul Nicholls and Samuel Rouse from Brighton and Hove City Council, and Dr Kevin Wyche, a lecturer from the University of Brighton. The event’s panel is being facilitated by Brenda Pollack from Friends of the Earth.
