Brighton Parents Find Out About Primary Places

Over two-thousand children in the city have been given a place at a primary school today.

More than 98% of parents have been offered a place at one of their three preferred schools by Brighton & Hove City Council.

Nearly 90% have got their top choice but 40 pupils haven't been given any of their top three choices.

The council say that those not offered a preferred place have been offered a space at the nearest school to their home that had places available.

A breakdown on allocations compared to last year:
