Brighton and Hove Albion manager Chris Hughton has been named the Premier League Manager of the Month for February 2018
The 59-year old oversaw an unbeaten month for the Seagulls, who picked up seven points in three crucial games against relegation rivals. At the Amex they secured 3-1 and 4-1 victories over West Ham and Swansea respectively, whilst on the road they earned a point in a 1-1 draw at Stoke City.
Speaking after picking up the award, Hughton said, “It’s a great achievement for the club and certainly for a group of players that have improved as the season has gone on.
“It’s confidence that’s built up through the season, and it’s a good period to have what is our best run of form. We’ve got momentum at the moment, and we also look like scoring goals.”
The Albion boss was nominated for the award alongside Javi Garcia [Watford], Jurgen Klopp [Liverpool], Mauricio Pochettino [Tottenham] and David Wagner [Huddersfield].
