Hello you, with you sunbaked glow and mishaped red bits, still loving the sun...

Almost as much as we're loving The Fringe- can't wait to go and snoop round someone's front room in the name of art at Open House...Today Abdando Man came on the show, he's performing every single night of the fringe at Heist, West Street for their free fringe. It's a fully improvised show of folk- hop and today he did a track about Luisa who called in with a thumb tumour, absolutely brilliant...

The lovely people at Beachdown have given us another week of tickets to give away, so we are! Each and every day they'll be a different funny weird bit of song your listening for... congrats to Rachel who won today!

Also well well done to Jo who won a pair of tickets for The Great Escape (can we take anymore adventure?!) But don't be jealous GAndrea have got TWO pairs to giveaway tomorrow morning from 7!

When you come on here tomorrow make sure you have a look at the celebrity smile on the Shoreham Smile Studio pages and if you email me studio@juicebrighton.com before 6.30 with the right answer you could be going forward into the draw on Friday to get your teeth done- worth £600! Nice

Sarah's Big Ones today included Heidi Klum giving posh spice cake for a year (i want to be friends with her!) Kooks' Luke not getting into a Kylie party and being gutted and a man who escaped a shark by poking it in the eye, genius...

Right love, the Lady Boys of Bangkok await...

    Have a mega night! xox

Welcome to the weekend! Oh yes!!

I'll keep it brief as I know all we want to do is be outside and loving the sun somewhere...

Today was ram crammed packed with free stuff for yooooou!

We foxed you silly with our dig in the ribs competition but well done to kelly who knew it was Foo Fighters best of you our lovely fabulous opera singer was doing, more classical delights on Wednesday!

THEN we tricked you further with who jen and Jules had spotted for the end of the week- he was lankey, he was tall, he danced and had melons... it was of course Bez! Well done to Jeremy who was just nipping out to pick up the kids...

We are LOVING the Fringe on Drive and today had the girls from Voodoo Vaudeville on the show, who talked edgy caberet, belly body popping and Madonna impressions, the show is at The Udderplace tonight and tomorrow AND Hilde is giving a belly dancing introduction go to hildebellydance.co.uk to keep your bits moving all sexy...

I played you House of Pain- Jump Around at 4.30, which went down a storm and the big ones today were Geri Halliwell loving the Queen's girl power, Rod Stewart making an R n B album and police unable to break up illegal raves, as it's too dark, one in Shoreham went on til 1 in the afternoon, shocking...

Right, you have a lovely mega weekend and we'll see you on Monday for more beachdown tickets and improvised hip hop folk opera

Hello Hello hope you've had a lovely lovely day in the sun, hurrah! but nasty rumour has it it could all change tomorrow, Boo! COULD is the important word there...

We love the sun but we're all getting a little woozy with it- stood in the cafe starring at the jacket potato fillings like they're in arabic, taking a whole 2 minutes to decide if you've got a club card...

So woozy in fact that I flooded my kitchen this morning completely forgettting I'd left the tap running, it was only when Katie from downstairs came running up to say it was pouring threw he ceiling, awful! But Laura in Worthing flooded her Mom's bathroom leaving the bath running and forgetting about it. Craig however made my sink look like a minor inconvinence- his girlfriend left a bath running over night?! Flowed through 2 bedrooms and a bathroom... you win Craig.

Congratulations to Rhianna who knew Russell Brand was "outrageous darling" with big hair and had just done that film in America. Table for 2 at The Dorset for you! Jules and Jen will be back for the last time tomorrow, we'll miss them!

Also Beachdown tickets to be won, £40 to spend at Dig in Ribs, Sarah's Friday Big Ones and Voodoo Vaudeville are live in the studio, we're going to get them to teach us to belly dance!

    See you then lovely! xox

  • ELF, Billie Piper and Nirvana on the uklele
    Added
    05/07/2008 - 17:48

Hello you! Hope you've had a lovely Wednesday in the sun and have headed straight out to a beer garden somewhere to lap it up some more.

In fact, may I suggest The garden of The Udderbelly in The Old Steine?? Just ahead of Lady Carol who's performing at The Udderplace at 10 pm, she came in on the show today and not only looked quite darling but brought her uklele with her and played Heart Shaped Box in her own unique way, brill. more singing and caberet tonight...

It was the Wednesday of The Dorset Spotted competition which Jen and Jules (ladies who gawp and eat lunch) saw a pregnant star who was in that Dr thing and was married to that ginger bloke... well done to Richard who was clever enough to know it was Billie Piper! Mussels for 2 at The Dorset all yours lovely! I'll do it again tomorrow from 5...

Our outstanding 4.30 pick up track came from ELF (of course Unbelievable... can't think of any other hits from them...) AND Sarah's Big Ones exposed Brian McFadden as HATING his own children's terribly northern accents (careful) P Diddy playing croquet and a fireman from Surry who's facing legal action for putting a pirate flag up without permission, UNBELIVEABLE!

See you tomorrow sexy, have a good night!

    05/06/2008 - 17:56

Hey love! It's scorchio! Did you have a lovely B/ Hol? Hope so, being back at work is a bit rubbish after 3 days off so I played you DJ Pied Piper, Do you Really Like it? as your 4.30 pick up track, mega stuff...

I was at a weddingin Manchester (evil train travel but we won't go into that now) with the most hilarious catholic priest taking the service- he described the communion at "the science bit" and said things like "I'm glad you've had your veil taken up so you can see who you're marrying" best bit was when the father of the bride siddled upto him and said "what's the score father?" without realising he had his mic on, brilliant.

All this week I've got LOADS of stuff to make you a lovely big winner. First of all there's Beach Down tickets every single day- well done to Jane who won today, she'll be heading there come August armed with a picnic table and tent.

Also I've got food to give away this week (yipee!) meals for 2 at The Dorset (lovely mussels...) it's the best people watching place in Brighton (you know , it's just past the Komedia opposite Infinity Foods) So if like a good gawp at those going past, you'll love it. And no one loves a good gawp more than Jen and Jules our ladies wot lunch. So busy gawping they are, they can't remember the names of the celebs they've seen going past, but if you can you get the meal, nice. Tune in from 5.30 for that!

If you missed us live from The Udderbelly on Friday you will have missed an very indecisive Andrew who couldn't choose the name of our cocktail at Belushis! In the end, after much deliberation, he settled on SUNSET SALUTATION so congrats to Chrissy in the Laines, who's won cocktails for 3 AND gets to be famous for the summer!

Sarah's Big Ones totday had Geri Halliwell stuck in a lift, Davina McCallquitting Big Brother to be a "serious" actress and a man who's spent £1000 buying a coffin shaped like his favourite beer can, at the moment he's using it as a cooler, pure class. Back tomorrow at 5.15!

Have a mega night lovely, if you see something fab at The Fringe let me know!

    Much love xox

    Added
    05/01/2008 - 18:53

Afternoon, afternoon, I trust you are well?? Hope so!

Today the show was rammed with musical goodness- congrats to Scott who won tickets for Carl Cox and Friends on Sunday night at The Brighton Centre, by correctly guessing 3 of Carl Cox's friends! it's going to go off!

Billy Childish came on the show today and was terribly charming and delightful with a fantastic moustache, he's an original punk who still makes music (over 100 albums to date) paints (over 2500 paintings) and writes poetry (over 40 books) Fancinating guy- can't remember if he's played with Nirvana and doesn't have a telly. Just the moustache.

Cheeky names and suggestions have been flowing (ahem) to name our fabulous cocktail, see the Cocktail Blog to have a look at the run down- we loved BelusieJuicie but now we REALLY love Romance in Your Pants from a very cheeky Heather in Kemptown. Keep them coming and Andrew will choose the winner tomorrow after 5...

The Big Ones today were exquisite (though a little later then promised, Billy's fault) Mel B is making her own fitness DVD, Leona Lewis is starting her own vegan clothing range, Peter Andre's daughter said "daddy" for the first time (to him) and a guy in Texas tried to cash a fake cheque for £180 billion, that his girlfriend's mom had given him- you'd have thought he would have tried it in instalments...

Don'd forget tomorrow the whole entire show is coming from The Udderbelly on that there Old Steine- come and see us, bring flapjack...

    See you there! xox

  • Calling our Cocktail!
    Added
    04/29/2008 - 18:28

So here's our lovely cocktail which Andrew at Belushi's has spent hours creating for us, it's SO Brighton...

We begin with a dash of Cherry brandy, followed by a dash of Tuaca and a splash of lemonade in a shaker, over ice. Give it a good shake, but be gentle, we are Brighton after all. Strain with a nice easy poor in a crystal clear martini glass. A few Bubbles, but not too many to take away from the beautiful sunset pink. Make sure, however to leave room for the kicker. A drop of Curacao Bleu, which will then sink to the bottom, with perfect representation of the Brighton Sea with the pink sunset glowing from above. Be careful not to stir, as the sunset will vanish to night if you do, but don’t let me tell you want to do, as night time is as good as any time, at Belushi’s Brighton.

But what to call it? That's what we need with you my love! If yours get chosen by Andrew on Friday you'll get it served all summer long AND cocktails for you and 3 of your mates, nice...

So we need it classy (like the show) tasty (like the cocktail) and cheeky (like Brighton...)

These are the ones so far, email yours to me sarah@juicebrighton.com

POP YOUR CHERRY UNDER THE SEA- Anton

Ahh with the weather so lovely and naming our cocktail you could mistake Brighton for The OC this afternoon, that's before you get caught in a freak weather storm and find youself eating your second milky way...

We're still searching for a name for our fabulous Belushis cocktail, have a look at the cocktail blog below, our favorites so far are SUNSET SALUTATION- Chrissy in the Laines BN1 Fun- Jonathan in Peachaven, UNDER THE PASSIONATE PIER- Melanie
and THE BELUSIJUICIE- Hannah in Worthing

Email them anytime you like to sarah@juicebrighton.com and Andrew will be on the show on Friday to pick the winner...

Which leads us very nicely to our big announement on the show today- we're taking to the streets! The whole show this Friday will be LIVE from the Udderbelly (you know that huge purple cow thing on the Old Steine) we'll talk to all those who set it up, performers, organisers and if you're down there we might get your tuppenths worth as well...

Our 4.30 fix today was the mega Livin' Joy and Dreamer, LOVE it and Sarah's Big Ones had Ricky Martin buying his own island (THAT's what hes been upto) and Kerry Katona losing 2 stone (she HAS had a baby...) and Lesbians (the residents of Lesbos) are all upset that they want to be the only lesbians not greek gay people, you'd think they might have said something before...

oooh also when you watch The Apprentice tonight watch whoever gets fired- they'll have a high necked coat on when they get in the taxi, that's cos they film them all at the beginning of the series see, ahhh, inside gossip...

Have a brill Wednesday night xox

Hey love! Shame about this darn weather, can't call it can you? Well what better soundtrack to recover from getting lunch in the rain than the show? None I tell you...

The Wombats are playing a sold out show tonight at The Dome and they came to see us before! They said they they were off booze so going to bed early, didnt mind about Jay Z playing Glastonbury and were worried about their wombat not inflating in the show (if you go let us know if it does!) and congrats to lucky and quick fingered Chris who was first on the phone and won our pair of tickets...

We had an (almost) exclusive play of the new Coldplay record "Violet Hill" Its quite good, very dramatic and do let me know what you think on the wall! And it's free!! from coldplay.com, we love free stuff!

And our first fringe guests came in today, the lovely boys from Potted Potter- they perform all 7 Harry Potter books in an hour! It's happening at The Udderplace (aka The Cowpat) THIS weekend, everything you need is on the fringe website- http://www.brightonfestivalfringe.org.uk/ and we'll have loads more guests and giveaways coming up soon on thie ere show...

All this week we want you to name our lovely cocktail, care of Belushis, it's a lovely Sunset with pure blue sea at the bottom of a martini glass, lovely... See the other blog for all the entries so far and Andrew's going to pick the winner on Friday who will have their cocktail served all summer long down there...

Much much massive love, see you tomorrow! xox

Evening loves, how was the weekend? Did you live the life of Rock n Roll excess? Like James Blunt breaking his finger in a freak stage diving incident, he blames his leather soled shoes, we blame his lyrics...

Graham's off for a couple of weeks so Louise stepped in to report on her rock n roll weekend- she won, 7 and a half points with an extra one for watching the entire Madonna back catalogue yesterday afternoon, Sarah scored very badly for having chocolate log for tea on Friday and watching a boy mastiate a pickled egg at Super Dynamite Boogaloos, more next week...

Andrew, a lovely cocktail person from Belushis on the seafront came on the show this afternoon and made us our Juice summer cocktail which YOU can name and the winner gets cocktails for them and their mates AND it will be served all summer long so you can be a bit famous!

    It consists of...

Cherry Brandy, Tuaca, lemonade (which make a lovely peachy sunset) and then Curacao Bleu at the bottom to make a lovely blue sea...

What shall we call it?? Let me know!

The Big Ones talked of James Blunt's finger (which he needs fixing for playing and "partying." -cool) Lesbians LOVING Cheryl Cole and a new job- women needed to test choclate bars- hard life.

And this afternoon we played you Blur- There's no Other Way for your 4.30 Pick Up.

    It's all graaaaaavy!

See you tomorrow with The Wombats on the show- AND we've got tickets for their big sold out gig at the Dome tomorrow night!

    See YOU at 3 xoxoxo
