- What have you done today to make you feel Proud?Added03/04/2010 - 11:06
Helloooo
Hope all is well in the wonderful world of you. The weather's certainly helping at the moment - but having to move house (yes AGAIN) this weekend is going to prove a traumatic experience I'm sure.
But there's also LOADS going on. Student Pride, this Saturday, looks even better than last year. Juice are going to be at Oceana as one of the market stalls from midday till about 5pm, and then a certain superstar DJ will be making an appearance at the club night at Coalition. No, not Fatboy - ME! (audable sighs fo disappointment)
I'll be lining up alongside Girls Cant Catch (they can, I asked Daizy from the band), Chew Lips and Eric Hassle. Last year was probably my favourite ever gig, and this Saturday looks set to top it.
Go to Studentpride.co.uk for info and tickets.
Then, after moving house inbetween all these shenanigans, I'm going to (attempt to) stay up Sunday night to watch the Oscars. 1am on Sky Movies Premiere, always a spectacle, and this year one of my favourite films ever is up for 9 awards- Avatar.
Smart money says The Hurt Locker will win big - I watched it on DVD this week to see what all the fuss was about and it is a quite brilliant film - ridiculously good performances and incredibly realistic stuff.
Still, I'd ruddy love it if Avatar won Best Picture.
See you at Student Pride!

- Brit of a disappointmentAdded02/17/2010 - 13:19
Hello you!
How was your pancake Brits night? Pancake-wise, I excelled, and broke out of my lemon-sugar comfort zone and dabbled in the sticky world of melted chocolate. Try get that image out your head whilst you eat your dinner.
Brits-wise... was a less impressive affair. After wetting my pants in enjoyment of the Grammys, the Brits left me dry as bone. Peter Kay's unexpressive chubby little face, and enough lacklustre performances for a lifetime, led to a pretty uninspired occasion.
Even Gaga didn't live up to her reputation and went for a more downbeat mood. All in all, a thorough disappointment.
Roll on the Oscars - can't they stagger awards throughout the year to make it a bit more interesting?
Peace out
Jonesy x - He loves me, he loves me NOT...Added02/15/2010 - 12:30
Well there has been much drama since my last entry... We've seen Alex Reid win Celebrity Big Brother and then soon after being whisked away by Jordan for a Vegas wedding... Yes the shiny lights, seedy aroma and fabricated glamour are always a sign of true love!
Speaking of love (puke) we have just had the good old Valentines day, which we covered in todays Monday Moaner, receiving txts from couples who have either been dumped or disappointed by their Valentines efforts!
I feel I am not alone here when I say that whether you are in a couple or not this year, everyone seemed a little unimpressed... I dunno, maybe it was the recession or something but it just seemed that people were not up for it, so in ode to those angry and bitter singletons I played the great Kelly Clarkson classic 'Since You've Been Gone'! Which reminds and excites me that I shall be front row at Wembley on Friday screaming into the earholes of the poor teen queens around me!.
On a lighter note we find out who killed
Archie Mitchell this week... My money's on Tracy (its always the quiet ones)... Oh for the small pleasures in life....ta ta

Hello you!
Hope all is well in your wonderful world - sick of snow yet? I LOVE snow... normally... but after countless days of slushy icey poor excuses for snow, I'm thoroughlt fed up with it all.
Big thanks to Guy & Andrea on breaky for keeping everyone posted on school closures - although it does make me laugh when a school decides to announce at 11:30am that they're closed, just incase any irresponsible parents forgot where there kids were.
Snow aside, its been an interesting start to the year - Celebrity Big Brother is still rolling - does anyone care anymore? - and we've seen a plethora of awards ceremonies (plethora - now THERE's a word I should use more often).
Best awards moments so far all come courtesy of Ricky Gervais at the Golden Globes - see below for examples of his genius.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SjcBcWMLbfY
So whats to come over the next few weeks other than broken New Years Resolutions, broken hearts at Valentines, and broken bra straps at maison de la Jordan?
Well, MORE awards ceremonies - Brits, Grammys and the Oscars all still to come.
I can't wait :o)
As always, feel free to contact me Jonesy@juicebrighton.com but PLEASE Tasha, stop sending me holiday snaps from Majorca '07 - I've established you suit leopard print...
Much love as always
Jonesy
x x x - More missing pets?!Added01/07/2010 - 12:11
Turns out the bad weather had scared our pets into running off!
A 1 year old male tabby cat called 'Zorro' went missing 6 days ago - he's got white markings, but no collar (although he is microchipped).
He lives on Crescent Road, Brighton, just by the level.
If you spot him, please give his owner Lisa a call - she's willing to offer a small reward to anyone who can find him.
Her numbers are 01273 601 911 and 07506 155 053
Keep ya eyes peeled!!! xx
- Help find Wolfie!Added01/02/2010 - 12:33
Hey you
Bit of a plea for help this - had a really nice phonecall from 2 sweet girls called Imogen and Madeline - they were walking their wog 'Wolfie' at Burling Gap yesterday afternoon (NY Day) near Beachy Head, when Wolfie jumped off the cliff.
Miraculously he survived, and was so scared he ran off along the beach. He hasn't been seen since so PLEASE, if you live in the area (or know someone who is and pass on the message), keep an eye out for him - he's a young, pale coloured Golden Retreiver.
If you see him please call 01323 815 737
I love dogs! :o(
Jonesy x - What am I going to do after the final finishes?!?!Added12/04/2009 - 16:32
Busy busy busy!
I've been so slack updating this blog, I feel borderline guilty.... almost...
Theres been LOADS going on
I'm a Celebrity, get me the hell in there has been entertaining us for the past couple of weeks. Methinx Jordan's brief fling with cockroaches was a bit of a copout and the whole things stinks of an overblown publicity stunt.
But thats been made up by Kim's brilliance. YES, I wouldn't invite the woman round fo tea but she's great entertainment. How can you fail to be amused by a 60 year old women so openly discussing her preferred sex life and pendulus breats?
Talking of pendulus breasts, Simon Cowell's been getting on my wick recently on the X Factor. I used to think he had some integrity but he is clearly a money making machine- and he's ruddy good at it!
I've been interviewing the X Factor losers (runners up if you prefer) each and every week ahead of their weekly performance at Revenge.
Nicest was probably Rachel and Lucie - the latter I met and she gave me her private twitter account. I was quite excited until I saw a good proportion of the 15m X Factor viewers were also "following" her.
Semi final tomorrow - I'm thinking Danyl bows out after people get bored of seeing his cavernous mouth open up. I swear everytime he does it, the time-space continuum shifts slightly and makes everyone feel a bit... wierd.
Look for Lady Gaga performing on the Sunday results show - apparently she asked for butterflies and goats (a logical combination of course) but instead gets half naked male dancers. A fair trade, but one bizarrely suggested by Simon Cowell, perhaps harnessing Louis Walsh's production values?
Have a lovely weekend - I'm off to the Snowman Spectacular Ball tonight with the Juice clan, photos no doubt to follow.
I apologise in advance for the state I will be in by the time the dessert rolls out.
Much love

- X Factor crazy!Added10/23/2009 - 15:08
Hello you
Hope you've been well. I've been away on travels - all the way to glamorous Guildford. Nothing too exciting, a trip to Thorpe Park, an utterly pointless wonder around Guildford "town centre" - made me long for our seaside city...
Well I'm back, lucky you... And back just in time for X Factor Fridays at Revenge. Basically, every Friday, the act voted off X Factor the weekend before have their first ever UK performance - and its only in ruddy Brighton at Revenge!
Every week, not only am I going to be interviewing the losing act, but also giving away tickets to Revenge PLUS the chance to meet the act!
This week, I caught up with Kandy Rain and Rikki Loney.
Kandy Rain highlights - them calling me "Jonus" throughout the entire interview, and one of them ranting about how they're as "sexy as the pussycat dolls, as sassy as the spicegirls and as intelligent as the sugababes". News just in, the Sugababes aren't that clever. One of the girls also genuinely believed that once the public see one of them do a backflip, they'll go, and I quote, "absolutely crazy"... Well, it did do wonders for S Club 7.
Turns out Rikki's mysterious pointy eyebrow is infact due to a scar, rather than some bizarre hair gel activity. Which is a shame.
Tune in next week for my interview with Jordin Sparks, Album of the week in the form of the quite wonderful Miike Snow, and another X Factor act gets voted off and appears on the show.
Have a great weekend everyone

As you know, Juice 107.2 is very proud to work with Brighton Pride each and ever year to support Brighton's huge annual event.
It has been announced that Pride took a big financial hit this year - £50,000 down, and its money they need to make back before the end of the year, or there's going to be a major scaling down for 2010.
If everyone who went to Preston Park this year donated just 33p, they'd make that money back.
So PLEASE, if you can spare a few pounds, go to www.justgiving.com/Brightonpride and donate whatever you can. Its Brighton's biggest and best annual event, and the biggest free party in Europe - lets keep it that way!
