MURRAY WHO? JONESY MATCH POINT!

The Power Shower Hour track today was Strokes Last Night.

Guy’s night involved staying up to watch a friend in a Channel 4 documentary Personal Service Required. Check out Mikey’s attempts to get a job as a PA when they (inevitably) re-run it on More 4.

I was watching a slightly bigger screen, went to see Wanted at the Odeon. Strange storyline, fantastic plot twist and great action scenes. (Joenesy who? I can do this review malarkey)
Shame I, as always, got covered in popcorn. Even ended up with a piece of salty kernel down my trouser leg? What’s wrong with me. Don’t answer that…

Apparently we change of careers three times in our lives. I used to serve jacket spuds, Guy has worked at a chicken farm. Neither much cop for preparing ourselves for the heady world of radio. Michael on the text got in touch to say he used to sell stationery – now getting work as a comedian. Paul ice cream van man to burger van man – more ‘all-year round’ appeal apparently.

Today we set Jonesy his Journey On task – become the new Andy Murray. We need some more Wimbledon talent. We gave him 45 mins, plenty I think. He did quite well, so he said, and even found a Spaniard to play against. Some fans even gathered on Jonesy Hill. See how he did at www.juicebrighton.com/wimbledon.

I had a bit of a confession to make to my mother. I should have told her yesterday, but I went to Punktured and got myself a brand new piercing. I love it. It’s the Tragus. She was unfazed, much to Guy’s disappointment. What’s a twenty-something got to do to rebel around here?!

Thanks to our guests today. Indy Leon and LJ from the Rising Styles festival – check out the many events happening over the next few weeks at www.risingstyles.com

Coalition Comedy tickets were won by Matthew. Don’t forget to stick around for the brilliant Rockstar Karaoke afterwards, hosted by Guy!

My vocal chords had plenty last week, so it’s a chilled out eve at the opening of Champneys on East Street for me.

See you again at 7am!
