A Taste of Wimbledon in Hove

Local tennis club, Pavilion and Avenue, is opening its courts and facilities to everyone on 28th June in a free Wimbledon-themed Open Day aimed at anyone with an interest in tennis.

With free coaching sessions, racquet trials and Pimms, strawberries and cream served from the licensed bar the afternoon offers a taste of the glamour of Wimbledon and will showcase all that the club has to offer.
Potential hot-shots can even compare their strength with Nadal and test their serve against the speed-gun!

Head Coach, Martin Reeves, ex Sussex No 1, says, “Tennis is a fantastic sport and our facilities and excellent coaching team make our club a great place to play. We’d encourage anyone who wants to learn more to come and try us out for free on the 28th.”

Based in The Droveway, near Hove Park and Dyke Road, Pavilion and Avenue boasts ten courts: four artificial floodlit, 3 acrylic, 3 macadam and an airhall for indoor winter tennis.
It has great views, good social facilities and ample parking too.

Membership is open to individuals, juniors, couples and families and there will be an
offer for those who join on the day of pro-rated membership.

Neil Moss, a member who joined on the Open Day last year says, "Joining Pav and Ave is one of the best things I've done for years. My favourite session is the Sunday morning mix-around social, followed by a refreshing beer when I finish."

The club offers a range of social tennis sessions throughout the week as well as leagues, squad and individual coaching sessions.
The club is recognised by the Lawn Tennis Association for the high quality of its’ coaching for juniors.
