On Monday morning - just as I'm gently trying to ease myself into the working week - Guy and Andrea send me on my way to find me a badger, all in aid of National Badger Day!
Close badger association, and friend of the show, professor Roger McKenzie, informed us that Rottingdean was a great spot to find a badger, and so off I went on my bike.
Once there, I found the nearest "green" looking area, and went on my search.
After following a trail of badger fur (caught on twigs) I came face to face with Barry... an alpha male badger, outcast from his clan for being too damn good looking.
Relating to Barry's life story, we become pals, and after Guy and Andrea DEMANDED a photo of us together, I obliged.
Unfortunately, their skeptical nature got the best of them, as they picked apart my photo as a fraud - Barry was camera shy see.
As a punishment I was forced to sing "the Badger song" on air - www.badgerbadgerbadger.com if you'd like to do the same. It was incredibly embarrassing, but I know somewhere, in a lonely set in Rottingdean, Barry was listening on his wireless, smiling with his deadly badger teeth...
