Man attacked helping busker outside Brighton's Thistle Hotel - father offers reward

A 23 year old man has had re-constructive surgery to his jaw after being punched in the face. He asked a group of men to pick up a buskers change after they had kicked it across the pavement.

Police are appealing for witnesses after a man was left with a broken jaw when he was punched outside The Thistle Hotel in Brighton 

The 23-year-old victim was talking to a busker at around 11pm last Saturday night  when a group of five or six men approached and kicked over the busker's cup of change.

The victim asked the suspect to help pick up the change and one of the men punched him once in the face.

The victim's lower jaw was broken in two places and he has undergone surgery to insert metal plates.

Victim Miles Ward's musician father Bob Ward has now offered an undisclosed reward for information leading to the conviction of the offender / offenders.
