Ella, from Shoreham by Sea, took part in Face of the Year launch and beauty pageant on March 3rd at the Azur, Hastings and in her very first 'live' pageant, she achieved the title 'Junior Miss Publicity' and was in the top 9 finalists in her age category. Unfortunately, this time, Ella hasn't qualified for the Grand Finals in Disneyland Paris, but, undeterred, she will be competing for another chance in May! She also managed to raise an amazing £353.00 from sponsorship and donations for her mini triathlon (February 24th) in support of Rainbow Child Foundation. She completed the mini triathlon in 1 hour 40 minutes 22 secs!
Ella was awarded an achievement certificate by Peter Metcalfe, Chairman of Adur council in recognition of her fundraising and participation in Face of the Year, and her inspirational story of overcoming bullying. Ella, 12, said, 'I am so grateful to have been given the opportunity to represent victims of bullying in Face of the Year, and demonstrate to all bullies that they will never win! I had so much fun and made some wonderful friends, all the girls and their parents were lovely! I would like to say a huge thank you to Lucie Hide and her team at Face of the Globe for all their support and kindness, and look forward to participating in more pageants!'
